To promote the liberalization of foreign trade and guarantee free competition between economic operators, Morocco has implemented legislative and regulatory provisions governing foreign trade in terms of importing and exporting, particularly ORDER NO. 2-93-415 of 11 Moharrem 1414 (July 2, 1993), made pursuant to Law no. 13-89 regarding foreign trade, as amended and supplemented by Order no. 2-99-1261 of 29 Moharrem 1421 (May 4, 2000). Import is regulated by the annually revised General Program of Imports (GPI).
